ABC DEVELOPMENT PRESCHOOL & CHILD CARE CENTERS

ABC offers an environment where your child will receive the best possible care. We provide an atmosphere that
stimulates your children's love of learning, encourages creativity, and fun. We offer experiences that will
enable his/her body to grow and develop. School can never be a substitute for a good home, but it can supplement
it. ABC has a long tradition of providing a warm, caring, and safe atmosphere for children to learn through
creative activities and free exploration. Here, every child is provided an opportunity to socialize, create,
discover, and build self-confidence as they master new skills. Our curriculum affords your child the opportunity
to grow in an atmosphere where they are challenged intellectually, socially and physically. Monthly themes provide
a framework for these activities and theme-related projects foster a desire to learn more. ABC's curriculum is
developmentally age appropriate and activities are geared to the overall developmental level of the children.

PRESCHOOL

Our program provides experiences at the young childs level, that includes preparing the children for a smooth
transition into Elementary School. We strive to prepare each child academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe
that through play young children learn about the world around them, in addition to a planned, teacher-directed curriculum
that suits their stage of growth. It is our desire to meet each child's individual needs, while maintaining a consistent
standard of learning for the entire classroom. The children will learn through play, learning centers, and structured lessons.
Our classrooms are theme based, meaning every month during the school year has a theme and daily we discuss topics pertaining
to that theme. We will integrate this theme into many of the activities during the day. We also concentrate on 2-3 letters
of the alphabet, a color, and a shape every month. We work on recognizing letters and words, sounding them out, beginning to
write them in the older groups. We work on self-help skills, small and large motor skills, letter and number recognition,
communication, and several other cognitive and social skills. We will cover these areas using a variety of methods to ensure
that learning is always fun and interesting for your child. Computers are located all of our Child Care Centers to enhance our
educational program and for your child's enjoyment. Dance and Gymnastic classes are available at most locations.

BEFORE AND AFTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILD CARE

At ABC we offer peace of mind to parents who require care before and after elementary school for their child.
We are very convenient, since we are located on the campus of 4 different elementary schools. You drop off
your child on your way to work. We engage them in age appropriate activities before school. When school starts we send them to
their classrooms and we meet them at the end of their school day. Our after school program consists of:
Homework Assistance, Arts and Crafts, Organized Sports and Games, and Field Trips. Computers are available in
our classrooms for their use. Dance and Gymnastic classes are available at most locations.

SUMMER DAY CAMP

Recognizing that the need for childcare continues year round, we offer a Summer Camp program in addition
to our yearly before and after childcare program. Our day camp program begins the week after elementary
school ends in June and continues through to the beginning of school in August/September. Our Summer Day
Camp is for children that have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade. We provide each parent with a
monthly calendar of events which includes: weekly themes, sports and organized games, arts and crafts,
music/dance and cooking, computers, weekly field trips to local points of interest, weekly movie videos,
and outside play in our supervised areas and special events.
